Kitap, \u00f6zellikle akademik \u00e7evrelerde olduk\u00e7a fazla ses getirdi. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc ilk kez, 1873-1874 y\u0131llar\u0131 aral\u0131\u011f\u0131nda bas\u0131lm\u0131\u015f olmas\u0131 ve yazar\u0131 taraf\u0131ndan \u201c<strong>roman<\/strong>\u201d olarak nitelenmesi onu ilgi \u00e7ekici k\u0131lmaktad\u0131r. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc T\u00fcrk\u00e7edeki ilk roman olarak bilinen\u00a0<em>Taa\u015f\u015fuk-\u0131 Talat ve Fitnat<\/em>1875 y\u0131l\u0131nda kitapla\u015ft\u0131r\u0131l\u0131rken\u00a0<strong>\u201cBat\u0131l\u0131 tarzda<\/strong>\u201d ilk roman olarak tasnif edilen\u00a0<em>Araba Sevdas\u0131<\/em>\u00a0da 1898 y\u0131l\u0131nda yay\u0131mlanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Bu durumda\u00a0<em>Hayal-i Cel\u00e2l,\u00a0<\/em>T\u00fcrk edebiyat\u0131nda, bas\u0131lan ilk roman olmaktad\u0131r. \u201c<strong>Bas\u0131lan<\/strong>\u201d dememin nedeni de\u00a0<em>Taa\u015f\u015fuk-\u0131 Talat ve Fitnat<\/em>\u2019\u0131n 1872-73 y\u0131llar\u0131 aras\u0131nda tefrika edilmesidir.<\/p>\n<p>Asl\u0131nda metinlere \u201c<strong>ilklik<\/strong>\u201d atfederken daha dikkatli olmak ve belki de bu tip at\u0131flardan olabildi\u011fince ka\u00e7\u0131nmak gerekir. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar ve ortaya \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131lan yeni bilgiler do\u011frultusunda \u201c<strong>ilklerimiz<\/strong>\u201d de\u011fi\u015febilmekte ve dahas\u0131, bu ilkler d\u00f6nemin ideolojisi do\u011frultusunda belirlendi\u011fi i\u00e7in bir\u00e7ok \u00f6nemli bilgi g\u00f6zard\u0131 edilebilmekte ve Mehmet Cel\u00e2l gibi isimler unutulabilmektedir.<\/p>\n<p>Ko\u00e7 \u00dcniversitesi Yay\u0131nlar\u0131 taraf\u0131ndan bas\u0131lan versiyonun \u201c\u00f6ns\u00f6z\u00fcnde\u201d Erol K\u00f6ro\u011flu, bu metni konumland\u0131rmak i\u00e7in bir denemede bulunur. Bunu yaparken de asl\u0131nda edebiyat\u0131m\u0131zdaki ilkleri tart\u0131\u015fmaya a\u00e7ar. K\u00f6ro\u011flu, meselemizin bir \u201c<strong>ilk<\/strong>\u201d aray\u0131\u015f\u0131 oldu\u011funda daha karma\u015f\u0131k sorular\u0131n i\u015fin i\u00e7ine girebilece\u011fini hat\u0131rlat\u0131r ve ilk \u00e7eviri roman olan\u00a0<em>Ma\u011fdurin<\/em>\u00a0hikayesinin (Victor Hugo\u2019nun\u00a0<em>Sefiller<\/em>roman\u0131n\u0131n \u00e7evirisi), Ermeni harfleriyle T\u00fcrk\u00e7e olarak yaz\u0131lan\u00a0<em>Akabi Hikayesi<\/em>\u00a0ya da Yunan harfleriyle yine T\u00fcrk\u00e7e yaz\u0131lan\u00a0<em>Tema\u015fa-i D\u00fcnya<\/em>\u2019n\u0131n ilk romanlar olarak tasnif edilebilece\u011fini s\u00f6yler. Ancak bu metinlerin \u201cilk\u201d olarak tasnif edilmesi bir yana, s\u00f6z\u00fcn\u00fcn dahi edilmiyor olu\u015fu da bahsetti\u011fim ideolojik tarih yaz\u0131m\u0131 ile do\u011frudan ilintilidir.<\/p>\n<p>Peki, Hayal-i\u2019 Cel\u00e2l\u2019in ilk romanlardan biri, hatta belki de ilk roman olmas\u0131na kar\u015f\u0131n bunca y\u0131l onu neden okuyamad\u0131k? Tarih yaz\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda kalm\u0131\u015f olmas\u0131n\u0131n nedenleri ne olabilir? Bu sorular\u0131n cevaplar\u0131n\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcrken, Mehmet Cel\u00e2l\u2019in kendisi ile ayn\u0131 kaderi payla\u015fan bir\u00e7ok yazar gibi gen\u00e7 ya\u015fta \u00f6ld\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fc ve yeterince \u00fcretken olamad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 belirtelim. Unutulmas\u0131n\u0131n \u00f6nemli bir nedeni bu olabilir. Ancak bundan daha \u201c<strong>ilgin\u00e7<\/strong>\u201d bir ihtimal daha vard\u0131r. Kitab\u0131n \u00f6ns\u00f6z\u00fcnde K\u00f6ro\u011flu\u2019nun g\u00f6sterdi\u011fi, Mehmet Cel\u00e2l\u2019in \u201c<strong>Zevk\u00ee<\/strong>\u201d mahlas\u0131yla yazd\u0131\u011f\u0131 birka\u00e7 dize bize bu ihtimali g\u00f6sterebilir:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cMahlas\u0131ndan da zerafetle \u00eeyand\u0131r bu ki sen<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Zibi serdefteri hayli \u00fcbenas\u0131n Zevk\u00ee\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bu dizelerde \u201c<strong>\u00fcbena<\/strong>\u201d ibneler anlam\u0131na gelir. \u015eair de kendisini ibneler camias\u0131n\u0131n ba\u015f\u0131nda gelen, ba\u015f\u0131na yaz\u0131lan bir isim olarak tan\u0131mlar. Yani, T\u00fcrk edebiyat\u0131ndaki ilk roman\u0131n yazar\u0131 bir e\u015fcinseldir. Ayn\u0131 zamanda Recaizade Mahmut Ekrem\u2019in a\u011fabeyi olmas\u0131na ra\u011fmen Mehmet Cel\u00e2l; i\u015fte bu nedenle bug\u00fcne kadar sakl\u0131 kalm\u0131\u015f, g\u00f6z ard\u0131 edilmi\u015f olabilir.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i.cnnturk.com\/ps\/cnnturk\/75\/650x541\/58da5958e50aa91e74f205d8.jpg\" width=\"650\" height=\"541\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>Roman\u0131n<\/strong>\u201d sadele\u015ftirmesi ve bas\u0131lmas\u0131; yaln\u0131zca yazar\u0131n\u0131n y\u00f6nelimi a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan de\u011fil, yazar\u0131ndan ba\u011f\u0131ms\u0131z olarak metnin de\u011feri a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan da olduk\u00e7a \u00f6nemlidir. Metin, hem geleneksel anlat\u0131lara hem de bat\u0131l\u0131 roman t\u00fcr\u00fcne ait \u00f6zellikler bar\u0131nd\u0131r\u0131r. Klasik tanzimat metinlerinde, \u00f6zellikle Ahmet Mithat romanlar\u0131nda, anlat\u0131c\u0131n\u0131n s\u0131k s\u0131k anlat\u0131ya m\u00fcdahil olarak okurla konu\u015ftu\u011funu ve onu muhatap alarak meseleler \u00fczerine tart\u0131\u015ft\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131, hatta onu ikna etmeye \u00e7al\u0131\u015ft\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 g\u00f6r\u00fcr\u00fcz. Hayal-i Cel\u00e2l\u2019de de anlat\u0131c\u0131n\u0131n okurla konu\u015ftu\u011funu g\u00f6r\u00fcr\u00fcz. Ancak burada anlat\u0131c\u0131, okuru muhatap olarak g\u00f6rmez ve herhangi bir \u015feye ikna etmeye \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmaz. Yaln\u0131zca,\u00a0<strong>\u201cBekleyin bakal\u0131m, neler olacak,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0gibi s\u00f6zler eder ve anlat\u0131ya dair ipu\u00e7lar\u0131 verir. Bu anlamda geleneksel anlat\u0131lara daha \u00e7ok benzer.<\/p>\n<p>Ayr\u0131ca, tanzimat metinlerinde anlat\u0131c\u0131lar\u0131n, kurmacadaki olaylar\u0131 g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc nedenselliklerle \u00f6rerek olaylar\u0131 ve okuru bir k\u0131ssaya y\u00f6nlendirdi\u011fini g\u00f6r\u00fcr\u00fcz. \u00d6rne\u011fin, Bat\u0131 \u00f6zentisi z\u00fcppe tipleri, hilekarlar, yetkilerini k\u00f6t\u00fcye kullanan devlet g\u00f6revlileri vb. karakterler; mutlaka cezas\u0131n\u0131 \u00e7eker ve etkisizle\u015ftirilir. Hayal-i Cel\u00e2l\u2019de ise z\u00fcppe tiplemesi olan \u015eeyda Bey\u2019in ba\u015f\u0131na bunlar gelmez. Bu anlamda romandan \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131labilecek \u201c<strong>ahlaki<\/strong>\u201d mesajlar olduk\u00e7a gev\u015fek b\u0131rak\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Bunun yan\u0131nda olay \u00f6rg\u00fcs\u00fcnde de bo\u015fluklar vard\u0131r. \u015eeyda Bey\u2019den intikam almak isteyen Muttali Efendi\u2019nin b\u00fcy\u00fck bir plan pe\u015finde oldu\u011fu s\u00f6ylenirken sonradan bu intikam meselesi unutulur ve olaylar ba\u015fka \u015fekilde seyreder. Bu anlamda \u015eeyda Bey, Muttali Efendi\u2019ye yapt\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131n cezas\u0131n\u0131 da \u00e7ekmez. Anlat\u0131n\u0131n hen\u00fcz ba\u015f\u0131nda babas\u0131 \u015eeyda Bey\u2019e, \u201c<strong>\u0130yili\u011fin \u00f6d\u00fclle ve k\u00f6t\u00fcl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn maddi ve manevi cezalarla kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131k bulmas\u0131 mutlak ve muhakkakt\u0131r,\u201d<\/strong>\u015feklinde \u00f6\u011f\u00fctler verir. Bu durum, anlat\u0131n\u0131n bu \u00f6\u011f\u00fct do\u011frultusunda \u015fekillenece\u011fini d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnd\u00fcr\u00fcr. Ancak bu beklenti kar\u015f\u0131lanmaz. K\u0131sacas\u0131 roman, klasik bir tanzimat metni olamayacak kadar gev\u015fek bir anlat\u0131 tarz\u0131na sahiptir. Ayr\u0131ca hilekar kad\u0131n tiplemesi, kad\u0131n k\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131na girme, isimlerin ki\u015filikleri yans\u0131tmas\u0131 vb. durumlar da geleneksel anlat\u0131lar\u0131 \u00e7a\u011fr\u0131\u015ft\u0131r\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Ancak, metni roman t\u00fcr\u00fcne yak\u0131n k\u0131lan \u00f6zellikler de mevcuttur. Bunlardan en \u00f6nemlileri metnin diyalojik olmas\u0131 ile toplumsal ele\u015ftiri bar\u0131nd\u0131rmas\u0131d\u0131r. Ba\u015fkahraman \u015eeyda Bey, babas\u0131ndan ba\u015fka kimsesi olmayan, \u00e7irkince ve orta halli bir gen\u00e7tir. Babas\u0131 \u00f6l\u00fcnce ona k\u0131z isteyecek, g\u00f6r\u00fcc\u00fcye gidecek kimsesi kalmaz. Bu y\u00fczden bir t\u00fcrl\u00fc k\u0131z bulup evlenemez ve cinsel d\u00fcrt\u00fcleri sap\u0131k\u00e7a bir hal al\u0131r. Dostlar\u0131n\u0131n haremlerindeki kad\u0131nlar\u0131 ve hatta kom\u015fular\u0131n\u0131 taciz etmeye ba\u015flar. Bunun \u00fczerine ders olsun diye \u00e7evresindekiler taraf\u0131ndan ona bir oyun oynan\u0131r. On \u00fc\u00e7, on d\u00f6rt ya\u015flar\u0131nda bir k\u0131zla evlenece\u011fini sanan \u015eeyda Bey, bilmeden k\u0131z\u0131n dul olan annesiyle, Akile Han\u0131m ile, evlenir. Daha sonra hem Akile Han\u0131m hem de \u015eeyda Bey rezil oldu\u011funu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnerek, birbirlerinden habersiz \u015fekilde \u00dcsk\u00fcdar\u2019a ta\u015f\u0131n\u0131r. \u015eeyda Bey burada ismini de\u011fi\u015ftirerek yeniden evlenmeye \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131r ve bu kez de bilmeden Akile Han\u0131m\u2019\u0131n k\u0131z\u0131yla evlenir.<\/p>\n<p>Olaylar\u0131n bu \u015fekilde aile skandal\u0131na evrilmesi ve iki kad\u0131n\u0131n ma\u011fdur olmas\u0131, asl\u0131nda g\u00f6r\u00fcc\u00fc usul\u00fc evlenmenin ve \u0131rk\u00e7\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131n sonu\u00e7lar\u0131d\u0131r. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc kad\u0131n ile erke\u011fin aras\u0131nda nikah esnas\u0131nda bile birbirlerini g\u00f6rmeleri yasakt\u0131r. Bu y\u00fczden \u015eeyda Bey, kiminle evlendi\u011fini, Akile Han\u0131m da k\u0131z\u0131n\u0131 kiminle evlendirdi\u011fini anlayamaz. Ayr\u0131ca \u015eeyda Bey\u2019in \u00e7\u0131ld\u0131rmas\u0131nda da iki \u00f6nemli unsur vard\u0131r. Bunlardan biri \u015eeyda Bey\u2019in Arap cariyelerden ba\u015fka kimsesinin olmamas\u0131 ve Arap cariyelerin g\u00f6r\u00fcc\u00fc gidememesidir. Di\u011feri ise toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri ve heteroseksizmdir. \u015eeyda Bey\u2019in azg\u0131nl\u0131\u011f\u0131 hem heteroseksist rollerin hem de kad\u0131nla erke\u011fin birebir ileti\u015fim kuramamas\u0131n\u0131n bir sonucudur. Yazar muhtemelen, bu ele\u015ftirilerin bir\u00e7o\u011funu bilin\u00e7li bir \u015fekilde yapmaya ya da okuru buna y\u00f6nlendirmeye \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Ancak okurlar metinden bu sonu\u00e7lar\u0131 \u00e7\u0131karabilmektedir. Bu durum da metni geleneksel anlat\u0131lardan uzakla\u015ft\u0131rarak roman t\u00fcr\u00fcne yakla\u015ft\u0131r\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p><strong>YAZARLAR NEDEN G\u00d6ZARDI ED\u0130LD\u0130<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bunlar\u0131n yan\u0131 s\u0131ra, metin 19. yy. Osmanl\u0131s\u0131ndaki toplumsal ya\u015fama \u0131\u015f\u0131k tutar. Bu d\u00f6nemde LGBT\u0130 bireylerinin hangi sembollerle, nas\u0131l ileti\u015fim kurdu\u011funa; evlili\u011fin taraflar i\u00e7in ne anlama geldi\u011fine dair bilgiler ediniriz. \u00d6rne\u011fin, lezbiyenlerin bir i\u015faret olarak boyunlar\u0131na beyaz mendil ya da t\u00fclbent ba\u011flad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131, dul kad\u0131nlar i\u00e7in ikinci bir evlili\u011fin esaret alt\u0131na girmek anlam\u0131na geldi\u011fini ve kad\u0131nlar\u0131n bundan ka\u00e7\u0131nd\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131, \u201c<strong>zamane<\/strong>\u201d erkeklerinin gen\u00e7 k\u0131zlar\u0131n koca de\u011feri bilmedi\u011fini d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnd\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fc ve modernle\u015fmeyle birlikte kad\u0131nlar\u0131n \u201c<strong>koca de\u011feri bilmeme<\/strong>\u201d hakk\u0131n\u0131 elde etti\u011fini g\u00f6rm\u00fc\u015f oluruz.<\/p>\n<p>Toparlamak gerekirse, Hayal-i Cel\u00e2l\u2019in ortaya \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131lmas\u0131, bizleri bir\u00e7ok konuda d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnmeye sevk etmektedir. Bana kal\u0131rsa, bunlar\u0131n ba\u015f\u0131nda tarih yaz\u0131m\u0131 gelir. Bir\u00e7ok yazar\u0131n de\u011ferli i\u015fler yapm\u0131\u015f olmas\u0131na ra\u011fmen gen\u00e7 ya\u015fta \u00f6lmesi, e\u015fcinsel olmas\u0131, muhalif olmas\u0131 gibi bir\u00e7ok nedenden dolay\u0131 g\u00f6z ard\u0131 edildi\u011fini s\u00f6ylemek m\u00fcmk\u00fcnd\u00fcr.
